Schools in our district qualify for Title IA, a federally funded program designed to support schools in ensuring that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.
Title IA, a key component of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), directs additional resources to schools with high numbers of economically disadvantaged students. These funds aim to bridge the achievement gap, enhance educational opportunities, and promote positive outcomes for all learners.
Our district applies a schoolwide program under Title IA. A schoolwide program is a comprehensive approach that allows schools with a high percentage of students from low-income families to use Title I funds to upgrade the entire educational program. This holistic strategy ensures that all students, regardless of economic background, benefit from the additional resources and support provided through Title IA.
